Grading

Tennis Victoria will be using the Universal Tennis Rating (UTR) as the primary grading method. This affects every player in the competition, so there is action to be undertaken for all players prior to registration. All players to create a login into Match Centre, if you do not have one already. Once logged in, search for your name, and merge any additional profiles that you have by clicking the blue button that says “Link Profile”. This will ensure their profiles have the most accurate rating and pennant teams will be placed in the most competitive grades. Here is a guide to request to merge profiles.

A guide showing the average player UTR for each grade from last season will be used to determine what grade players apply for in 2022. More details about UTR.
