Tennis program for deaf kids smashing barriers

Vicky Lee has coached tennis for 20 years, but it wasn’t until she volunteered with Deaf Sports Australia that she realised the impact it could have on the hearing impaired.

The former WTA-ranked player noticed that deaf and hearing-impaired children thrived in other aspects of their lives if they were playing tennis, and recognised the need for a specialised course at Doncaster Tennis Club.
